Breadth of Business and industry knowledge

What differentiates Lauren’s corporate and business writing from others is her extensive knowledge of many types of corporations, businesses, industries, fields, and jobs.  Her greatest experience is with large, complex, global companies first as an employee and then as a service-provider to them.  The source of this breadth of knowledge will become evident from the work that has populated her career:

  1. As an IBM systems engineer who graduated to IT manager in large banks, Lauren gained insight into the workings of many departments and many functions. She also perfected her credentials as a technical writer in this role.
  2. Lauren’s work as CEO of an executive search firm for global companies and firms educated her on the inner workings of every C-Suite role and a multitude of industries. She had to write the job descriptions and thoroughly understand the selling points of the company and the industry to attract candidates.  She had to understand which companies inside and outside of the industry would be a source of potential candidates and which job titles they likely would hold.
  3. Her breakthrough campaign for placing big-company executives on the boards of small entrepreneurial companies gave Lauren an opportunity to write Board correspondence and documentation as well. It also introduced her to a massive number of smaller, mostly entrepreneurial companies.
  4. As an executive coach and career manager, Lauren was deeply involved in partnering with executive clients to do their work to make their company more successful. This included creating corporate projects and ventures in which they could excel and writing the work products that would allow them to shine.  It is obvious how expansive her knowledge of the job, company, and industry or field had to become to do this.

Thought leadership
